5 FAVOURITE PHILLIP HUGHES MOMENTS

Australian cricketer Phillip Hughes died on Thursday, three days short of his 26th birthday. Here is a look at five great innings from his career, which had so much more to offer before his life was cut tragically short when he was hit on the head by a cricket ball.

1. MAIDEN TEST CENTURY

In March 2009, Phil Hughes, in the second test match of his career, scored his maiden test century at Kingsmead Cricket Ground in Durban, South Africa. He and Simon Katich put together an opening partnership of 184 runs before Hughes was caught by Neil McKenzie off the bowling of Jacques Kallis.

2. TWO CENTURIES

In the same match, the 20-year-old became the youngest player ever to score two centuries in a test, as he took on the talented South African bowling attack again in his second innings in Durban to reach 160 runs, which would remain the biggest score of his test career. Australia won the test and Hughes was named player of the match.

3. THIRD AND FINAL TEST CENTURY

He scored the third and final test century of his career in a match against Sri Lanka at the Sinhalese Sports Club Ground in Colombo in September 2011. After being bowled for 0 on the first day, he returned with a second innings score of 126.

4. ONE-DAY HIGHLIGHT

He scored two centuries in one-day international cricket, both against Sri Lanka during the South Asian team’s tour of Australia in January 2013. In the first match in Melbourne, he got 112 runs, but in the next three he was out for just 3, 3 and 1. He recovered his form in the fifth match though, scoring 138 not out in Hobart

5. WORLD RECORD BREAKER

In a July 2013 test match against England at Trent Bridge in Nottingham, Hughes broke a world record with debutant Ashton Agar, as the pair put on 163 runs in a tenth wicket partnership. Agar fell two runs short of becoming the first number 11 to make a test century, and he couldn’t have done it without Hughes at the other end, who finished on 81 not out.

18 Signs You’ve Always Been A Backbencher.!!

Your school classroom has undoubtedly been the setting for many a wonderful childhood memories. When you think about your classroom, one thing that had a very special prominence was the last bench. There was something about that bench at the end of the classroom. You needed to earn your place there. It was reserved for the ones who were 'different.' We all strived for that coveted place, and at some point, have found ourselves there.!!
It is difficult to explain in words what was so epic about the back bench, but if you can relate to these points, you surely are a back-bencher at heart:

1. You still don't understand the point of sitting under the teacher's nose. 

Or in the next few rows that follow.

2. Every time you enter a classroom, your eyes automatically scan the back benches for a place to sit.

3. Your professors have always kept an eye on you.

And you have always wondered why. You are only sitting at the back not invading Iraq!

4. Everyone knows where to look if they want to spot you in a classroom.

There is a reason they call you a backbencher!

5. Whenever there is an unusual noise in the class, you have always been a suspect. 

Rule of the class: every noise has to come from the back!

6. Professors have picked on you a million times with questions you have never had an answer for.

This putting-you-in-the-spotlight business just to get an answer is some teacher logic you cannot comprehend.

7. You always get punished for talking.

And you're never alone, you also land your friends in trouble.

8. You have slept off at the back several times.

You might have a comfortable bed back home but there is something refreshing about sleeping at the back of a classroom!

9. You have also been found munching at the back many times.

Food pulled you through most of the boring lectures.

10. The thought of sitting on any other bench has often given you a mini-heart attack.

Moving to the front is like stepping out of your comfort zone.

11. And on the days that you were made to move to the front... 

It felt like jail treatment!

12. The front bench kids have always judged you for sitting at the back.

13. You have heard every song in your playlist sitting back there.

Music in between lectures is just WOW.

14. You have had the luxury of cheating in exams without worry. 

No professor can spot you copying at the back. What a convenient set up!

The privacy in the back is unbeatable.

REVEALED: Here's how to DISABLE 'blue tick' read receipt feature on WhatsApp.!!

Those who were really annoyed with the recent ‘blue-tick’ feature addition to the WhatsApp messenger service, can now relax as the company has now made this feature optional for users.

The popular internet messenger service released the ‘read receipt’ feature which changed the color of the grey tick marks (we see on every WhatsApp message) to blue once the receiver has checked the message. However, this feature was tagged to be further intrusive by most users. The company has now released yet another update to its app which will allow users to disable this feature.

Earlier, the service used to show one tick mark when the message was successfully sent and reached company’s server and two grey ticks when it was delivered to the receiver. Earlier this month, the company added another element to the messenger that would change the colour of double grey ticks to blue when the recipient has read the sent message. However, users can now disable it by changing the feature setting.

Here is how to disable the read receipts feature:

Download the new Beta version of the app from the official website (From Here), considering that it is yet not available on Google Play.

Once downloaded, go to the Settings option, and then to the Account.

Now opt for the Privacy option and disable the Read Receipts settings, which will dismiss the blue ticks feature.

The feature is only available to WhatsApp app users on Android for now, but is soon expected to be rolled out for other platforms as well.
